MASTERPIECE

THIS MOTION PICTURE IS OFFICIALLY AN AFFILIATE OF THE FILMMAKING PARAGONS.

James Cameron's masterstroke romance epic is a tale of beauty and disaster never before told and never will be told again! Post 2010s, people tend to complain about films that are over 3 hours in runtime, when magnum opuses like Titanic and Terminator 2: Judgment Day ruled the screens with its extremely engaging screenplay that doesn't contain a second of boredom!

First of all, we have to talk about the world class production design! It's one of the best creations you will ever see in cinema, people! Titanic was called the ship of dreams, and it truly was! From the ship's interior, engine room and architecture itself, it's totally off the charts! The magic, the wonder of traveling in Titanic is finally realized! James Cameron's direction stroked pitch perfect accuracy! The editing is precise. Every camera movement counts; none wasted! Visual effects is immaculate! James Horner's score is legendary! Just listen to all the little nuances the composer pulled off with the theme alone! Lastly, we all know James is an inventor-director; the sonar scan bots with arms he created solely for this picture is the example of dedication to his craft.

It's not only Titanic that's dreamy, it's everything else too here! Leonardo DiCaprio as Jack and Kate Winslet as Rose are the names synonym to Romeo and Juliet from Shakespeare's literature! They are such a dream! The topic of social status difference is brought into the narrative seamlessly, allowing us experience the homogenous equilibrium achieved by the couple as they themselves are experiencing it! Spit lesson, suicide attempt, bonding over paintings, real party dancing, French-girl drawing, lovemaking in boiler room and every conversation of theirs are situations of visual beauty! And they do talk about the reality of this relationship as well as they recognize Jack's hidden talent that could save them both. In fact, all the characters are realistic with proper motivations, no matter how good or evil they appear.

While it's romantic and all as long as it lasts, when Titanic hits the iceberg, prepare for a hyper action-packed motion picture event! The chaos and the minute-by-minute panic are needless to say, extremely scary, especially after you know the tragedy is inevitable! It's even more nerve wrecking for us the audiences as Jack's stuck in the lowest deck room as the ship starts to sink. As Rose goes for his rescue in a water-filled, electricity-absent level as she finds for help, you'll be left out of breath! Jack's persistent optimistic spirit as he feeds Rose hope throughout the calamity is super admirable! Watching him freeze to death and pulled to the ocean's depth is too sad and heartbreaking! Lifeboat struggle, pianists continuing their music, an old couple cuddling each other waiting for their demise and a mother calming her kids are enough to inform you how real could the struggle have been back when the actual incident happened. The sheer scale of this catastrophe is God's own magnum opus project gone wrong, and hats off to James Cameron for attempting and succeeding at recreating this incredible historical piece!
