TERRIFIC

THIS MOTION PICTURE IS OFFICIALLY AN AFFILIATE OF THE FILMMAKING PARAGONS.

Aladdin is a milestone in Disney Renaissance era! Ron Clements and John Musker transported us into a world that will reside in our hearts until time ceases to exist!

With the merchant's narration and Arabian Nights song, the film draws you in the atmosphere and universe at hot notice! You could feel the strong presence of mystery and enchantment, thanks to the stellar voice acting overall and Alan Menken's revolutionary score!

Hand-drawn animation this vibrant and lively is rare! Coupled with the 3D panels, audiences were able to engage in the journey as much as the characters did from start to finish. Speaking of characters, every one of them is memorable! Aladdin (voiced by Scott Weinger), Jasmine (voiced by Linda Larkin), Rajah, Jafar (voiced by Jonathan Freeman), The Sultan (voiced by Douglas Seele), Abu (voiced by Frank Welker), Iago (voiced by Gilbert Gottfried) or even the magic carpet, magic lamp and Cave of Wonder were too real and iconic. But, the one persona that triumphed them all was, without a question, Robin Williams' legendary Genie!

The magnitude of sheer brilliance, life and power Robin Williams bestowed upon creating Genie is unseen, unheard and unexperienced before. Most likely, such quality of work will never see the daylight again. The makers should have posted a fair warning in the beginning of the picture, giving us heads-up on how hysterically funny Genie was going to be! His mimics and antics were extremely entertaining, and this is still an understatement!

Aladdin had a swift and fast-paced screenplay! Events trailed smoothly, with numbers being enjoyable as it helped reveal characters and move plot. Such were the scenes too, except for the one where The Sultan flies around his Agrabah castle with the magic carpet that could have been eradicated for serving no purpose. Every character had a clear plot goal that resonated with the theme of freedom, and each of them earned the freedom by being their true self. Last but not least, Aladdin and Jasmine shared a sweet, cute and lovely relationship. There couldn't be a more made-for-each-other pair than these two.
