There's a serious pacing issue here that traipses & mellows down the potentials of this film. It drives for a considerably protracted time to chart correlations between Carol Aird (Cate Blanchett) & Therese Belivet (Rooney Mara) without much supervening at all for the majority of the earlier runtime.
Both the actresses do fine. Costume designs are laudable, complementing the suitable epoch backdrop.
