OKAY

Captain America is a patriotic, relentless, loyal, adroit, courageous, will-hearted & meritorious soldier / gentleman. One can delineate the character so vividly because the writing's such! Even though after bulking up, his characterizations stay the same. This level of clarity is inexorable for an origin story, coupled with the help of an ace actor like Chris Evans.

The script is a standard, neat & tidy one. Serum infusion & conversion is the highest point in the film, cheesed between decent incidents, mediocre sometimes artificial actions, opportune plot points & a neverending ending. The final twist is superb! One would agree for a scrunched runtime.

Modern Marvels Pavilion is straight out of the comic books! Tommy Lee Jones as Colonel Chester Phillips is excellent. Captain America's commercial stage promotions, official uniform & vibranium shield are all great!

Green screen face-body swap is evident in many scenes. Red Skull (Hugo Weaving) isn't a weighty malefactor. 'Nope' is a 2010s slang, how is it possible for Captain to use it in 1942? But, but, but… What is with this motion picture that shines from the rest?

For one, a superhero tale that's taking place in the olden days, is sui generis & piquing! Hyperlinking it with occult power & Teutonic myth in the midst of a World War time zone is splendid! And most of all, to narrate these in its utmost grounded reality seals the deal!

"This is why you were chosen. Because a strong man who has known power all his life may lose respect for that power, but a weak man knows the value of strength. And knows compassion."
