SPOILERS DOWN THE PATH; THE DISCUSSION BELOW WILL NOT BE COMPREHENSIVE WITHOUT IT.

TREAD CAREFULLY. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.

Avengers: Age of Ultron has an envisaged story structure. No problem there. The issues in this movie concern with how the makers have chosen to depict it.

One: With rush & haste. We can't help but think that the segments in this film scurry across with missing spacers in between.

  • Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) can't even complete his Mark XLII prototype that kept on crashing in Iron Man 3, but he's able to create an A.I. based defense program in 3 days, by extracting it from an alien gem? Wait a minute, when did this whole Ultron (James Spader) plan's in works? Didn't he already destroy all of his armors in the last standalone film?

  • What's the purpose of The Water of Sight episode? To set up Thor: Ragnarok while neglecting what's going on in the current movie that's more important?

  • How did Ultron's metal parts & armies magically end up in a deserted fortress just after being in the Avengers headquarters?

  • Romance between Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) & Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson)? Since when these two interacted with each other much to the point where it leads to this happening?

Two: With moronic scenes. Most of these require elucidations, but that couldn't have been the pit stop in this moneymaking process, right?

  • Ulysses' (Andy Serkis) hand is chopped off, but he doesn't scream or react to it?

  • Ultron randomly grabbing Thor (Chris Hemsworth) out of everyone to beat him in the middle of the final battle?

  • How did all the Avengers, particularly Thor out of nowhere, appear at one location at the same time prior to Vision being born?

  • Bruce plans to elude with Natasha? His team is fighting out there to protect mankind, and he's thinking of running away with your love interest, abandoning all?

  • Ultron is already a villain that's made out of the A.I. from the Mind Stone. Why is he forging another villain?

  • Quicksilver's (Aaron-Taylor Johnson) killed because of a boy who's barely stuck?

  • Vision (Paul Bettany) is imposing, yes! He is made from an Infinity Stone, so technically he is naturally stronger than the others in the team if compared relatively. But, there's no necessity to show him lifting Thor's hammer even if he could do so, two times at that too! What does this amount Thor to if another super-being is able to break the only exclusive he has?

  • Hulk's transformation is not just a transformation. To wait for Bruce Banner to turn into the green monster would always be the most urging wait in all Hulk films! You could only facepalm real hard when Black Widow pushes Bruce into a hole pit & Hulk surfaces in no seconds. He's merely used as a smashing machine, that's all.

Three: Regular scripting flaws. How shallow are the writings on the papers for this instalment?

  • What is Ultron's motivation here? Why is he so pissed with the Avengers for no solid reasons? He plans for global peace by killing people on Earth?

  • An abrupt change in the motives of Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen)?

  • By the way, what are her true & definitive abilities? She's able to play mind tricks on others & she's able to charge with red beams for destruction too?

It's time to talk about the best scenes. Firstly, Hulk's outrage & the combat that follows between Hulkbuster & him! Man, what an eye-orgy stuff! Hulkbuster pounding Hulk vertically across a building, literal meaning of "Veronica, give me a hand", Hulk tearing Veronica from the bottom to top of a skyscraper & side face smash to end the fight are the bangs for your buck, literally!

Secondly, the hammer lifting challenge at the Hydra success party. You should see Thor's terrified facial reaction when Captain's able to twitch the hammer slightly & not forgetting, the Asgardian God's after-relief too! Thirdly, the roundabout turn slow-mo warfare featuring all the heroes is superlatively done! Their powers splashed open, leaving the Ultrons and us in awe!

A beauty of a scene is the screenshot that captures all of them in a single letterbox format at the start! Hulk's first reverse transformation after caressing the hands of Black Widow is amusing. There's exploration on the human side to Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) & Black Widow which's awesome. Shield-hammer combo attack & the final conversation between Vision & an Ultron seed amazes.

Screenwriters should realize that the real attention holder at the end of day would always be strong writing & powerful screenplay! As for this one, colossal disappointment is the most suitable tagline.

"It doesn't matter what you did or what you were. If you go out there, you fight, and you fight to kill. If you step out of that door, you are an Avenger."
