Anomalisa

Before anything else, it must be mentioned that Anomalisa is a landmark in stop-motion history! The meticulousness and hardship that went behind creating the scenes must have been truly incredible as the final product proves!

Everything about this picture is an anomaly aka oddity. From the storyline, puppetry, boldness, screenplay, all of it! The unique animation style glues you to the screen before proceeding to pass you onto the interesting characters. You could easily emote along the restlessness of the protagonist Michael Stone (David Thewlis)! The sound and film editing are unalloyed. Watch out for the most human, lifelike lovemaking scene pulled off at an insane level of verisimilitude by the team of zestful filmmakers!

This is a thought-provoking art that'll prompt plenty of discussion. Notice how the principal character is suffering from a rare disorder, which goes by the hotel's name: Fregoli delusion. He sees duplicates of an imaginary person, not forgetting the similar object representations too. Also, the story is about loneliness as much as it is about the syndrome. As living beings, we achieve equilibrium with the love others have for us quickly, to a point where their care is taken for granted unknowingly. Nothing feels special anymore, until a new breathing article enters the circle again and showers some solicitude on us. Over the long haul, even that becomes a normality, and the cycle continues.
